On many request including mine :P I present the Origin version of Battlefield 1942!! This game was until may last your for quite a while a free to play game, but now gone in the database! I was so disappointed because I finally have this working as I wanted and now the game is gone. Luckily I had it already added to my account, but what about multi-player? Because I can only login once in Origin with one account?! Well, luckily I found a solution. First I created another Origin account (the easy part). Then second I tried adding a CD serial of a legal copy I bought in the past, and guess what? It worked! So you can add your old CD serial of Battlefield 1942 in Origin and it will add the game in your account!
So I downloaded the Battlefield 1942 game but it kept installing (One of the only annoying bugs), but you can easily fix this by quiting Origin (after a few minutes to be sure), and then login again and then you are able to launch the game without problems. BUT, before you launch you have to do one more thing...Go to your preferences of Origin and turn off "ingame Origin". If you don't do that, the game will freeze at launch. So make sure this is turned off , also when playing any other game in Origin. Then click play to start the fun!!!
Multi-player: Yes, this is possible. Hook up with a couple of friends in Hamachi and create a LAN game and join each-others multi-player games. The Video below will show you that as well! Enjoy!
On January 31, 2015 / New Feature, News, Origin / Comments Off on First Origin program port finally here!
Yes! Yes! Yes! I was already 1.5 years busy to get a good port of Origin, so we can play Origin games! And although I was far in the progress, I ran into 2 problems from which one, was fixed in Wine 1.7.35 (download problem) and the second was the "activation.dll" error message when launching a game. That one was fixed with a Patch I applied in this custom build. Because it is a custom build of Wine, I cannot add this into the Portingkit yet as we speak, but will be I hope coming week.
In this Origin Port not all games, on the contrary, a lot won't work. This also because most games needs their own treatment to work. Newer Origin custom builds will of course follow through time. However with this Wine custom build I did managed to get a number of games working just great, including some way awesome titles where a lot of people were hoping for! Today and coming week I will show you which games work including a video tutorial. Which games they are I keep a secret until you see them appear on the site. Hope you will enjoy this as much as I do!
Disciples 2 gold is added now into the Portingkit! A decade after the First Great War, the final prophecy continues to unfold. Deep within the crevices of the Sacred Lands, the Chosen One has emerged, fated to bring salvation to some and destruction to others. Braced with renewed faith and newfound conviction, each race must once again take up the sword for the sake of their people and the glory of their God. The game is available on GOG.com and works very well on my Nvidia iMac. I played the game for about an hour without any issues. The Portingkit will create 2 start executables for both the main game + expansion. Check out the video below for the visual instructions and some game-play.
Simply download the Portingkit (if you don’t have it already) and go to the library –> server tab and select the “Disciples 2 Gold” game and click download. If you don’t own the game yet the Portingkit can direct you to the game page where to purchase it and download the setup/download file into your download folder. When you clicked “no” and were directed to the game page, you have to click “download” again and then click “yes” so the Portingkit will install the game for you. After installation the Portingkit will say the installation was done successfully. Then go to your “local” tab where you can select the game and click “play”!

On request Gothic and Gothic 2 are added to the Portingkit. Both Working great in my tests! For Gothic 2 you still need to delete an exe file in the game folder, but thats explained step by step in the game notes in the Portingkit how to do that. Gothic 1 works out of the box. Enjoy the games and the Portingkit!
On request, the return of the game Star Wars Rebellion on Paulthetall.com. The game was removed because of a bug that you cannot do the manual galactic battles (it will crash if you do so), so automatic battles will only work. Despite of this bug a lot of people still want to play this old diamond. So because of this bug I cannot add it into the Portingkit, but have made an exception Wrapper for this one. This way people who want to play the game and don't care about the manual galactic battles can still enjoy this game. Below the video with some game-play in the Portingkit before it was removed :P.
Before downloading the wrapper, make sure security settings are set correctly when you have Mavericks OSX or higher. Then simply download the Wrapper below and extract the file and double-click the wrapper–> get and download Star Wars Rebellion on GOG –> install windows software –> navigate to the GOG.com installer file and double-click it –> Installing the game into the Wrapper and at the end of installation click “exit”. Now double-click the wrapper and play! For more info about porting go up here…
Important: Game contains bug that you cannot do the manual galactic battles (it will crash if you do so) so thats why this game is Wrapper only and not added to Portingkit. This Wrapper is available only because on request.
Cities XL Platinum is a very nice city simulation game...amazing graphics, and thats why it is added to the Portingkit now! Game works great in the Portingkit with the updated Wine engine! I also added an improved paulthetall.com branded icon and fixed a bug in the download client of gamersgate which caused the error: "Error 12057 in network connection". Enjoy this awesome game in the Portingkit!

Its there! Grim Fandango is by far the single most wishlisted game by the GOG.com community with an overwhelming 45,000 votes. It's a unique blend of Mexican folklore with film noir stylings, and has been critically praised for its art direction, writing, and memorable characters. The game will be released on 27 January and the ones pre-ordering get a small token of appreciation which you can see in the video below.
One of the most acclaimed adventure games of all time is now back, better than ever. Grim Fandango's epic story of four years in the life (or death) of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the dead, has been remastered to look, sound, and control even better than when it won GameSpot's Game of the Year award upon it's original launch. Grim Fandango still stands as a classic of the genre, with unforgettable characters and unique combination of film noir and Mexican folklore.
Grim Fandango Remastered includes:
Repainted, hi-res character textures
New, dynamic lighting
Classic score re-recorded with a full live orchestra
Disciples III: Renaissance is the next title in the award winning Disciples series and represents a leap forward in the evolution of the turn-based RPG/strategy genre. Building on the successes of the first two games, DIII introduces a host of new features as well as the compelling gameplay that made the previous titles such hits. As a Lord of one of the fantastical races of Nevendaar you must fight to restore your deity's rule over your world.
The game is available on Gamersgate and works very well on my Nvidia iMac. I played the game for about an hour without any issues. The game Works also on Intel HD, but you have to set the graphical settings on "medium" or there will be graphical glitches in the game and or map. Check out the video below for the visual instructions and some game-play.
Simply download the Portingkit (if you don’t have it already) and go to the library –> server tab and select the “Disciples 3 Renaissance” game and click download. As you may know Star Wars™ Galactic Battlegrounds Saga has been added to the Portingkit. It still had a music issue (no music at startup) and had not the DLC campaigns added with the executable set. It appeared that the executable needed to be set to "battlegrounds_x1.exe" to fix all this. I tested as well a level in DLC campaign as the normal campaign and even played a multiplayer game using Hamachi.
I made an updated video of the gameport to show how you can play it using the Portingkit including some gameplay. Works great! Enjoy this amazing LucasArt classic!
Get the Portingkit (if you don’t have it yet) up here…
For all the (Windows) Steam games you own try use one of the 8 Steam Wrapper builds available in the Portingkit.
No guarantees that all games work. But the Steam games you will find on this website should work with one of them. If you notice a game which work great and isn't listed on this site let me know, so I can add the game in the list.
